The NFL is officially back! With Week 1 officially here, it’s time to look around the league for the first edition of this season’s power rankings. Can anyone compete with the Patriots? Are the Giants ready to live up to (self-imposed) Super Bowl hype? Will the Jets win a game? How good can the Eagles be in Carson Wentz’s second season?

The Kansas City Chiefs, led by coach Andy Reid and quarterback Alex Smith, meet the defending NFL champion New England Patriots, led by coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady in the season opener on Thursday, September 7, 2017 (9/7/17) at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The 2017 NFL season kicks off Thursday night with the Kansas City Chiefs traveling to Foxborough to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots.

The line opened at Patriots -7, meaning Vegas expects Tom Brady and company to win by a touchdown, but it’s since gone up to -8. That’s significant since almost 10 percent of NFL games end on seven.

The Over-Under, or total number of points projected to be scored, stands at 48. Given it’s the NFL Kickoff Game, it’ll be one of the most-bet-on and most-watched games of the season. Average Joes and experienced pros alike will have a stake on the outcome.
